My Story
B.Sc.PT, FCAMPT

How I Began and Where I’m Headed
With an inquisitive mind and raw athletic talent, I craved any movement and all sports growing up. Sprinting was my favorite. I loved to manipulate things with my hands with all kinds of projects and it didn't take long to realize that seeing shapes and bodies in a 3D picture would be the easiest means of communication. I knew I could make a difference at a very early age but had no clue how that journey would take shape.
I started my career during my undergrad years as an on-field sports trainer for Rugby, Hockey, Football, Volleyball to name a few. I had a natural ability for staying calm under pressure which was helpful in my first years of acute care such as ICU, trauma, cardio-thoracic and orthopedic post-operative care. I saw people at their most vulnerable state who responded well to compassionate listening and understanding of the scientific guidelines that I provide in my plan of care.
I hold space for each client and know how to motivate to get you to the next step, getting you closer to your limit/fence to allow breakthroughs to reach your goals.
I believe every person has the right to the best professional care. I love people and their stories. I have an innate ability to solve and link the body from top to bottom and inward and outward.

In 2005 I moved to the East Coast to pursue private practice care and expand my skill set through my Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy Diploma, a rigorous training to perfect my hands-on approach. In 2009, I travelled as a physiotherapist with Cirque du Soleil, an opportunity to test the acquired knowledge on elite athletes, help them maintain, perform and reach their physical potential. Prevention is key to help them through the demands of training as well as guidance to understanding of what has been looming over time to move through the next event or performance.
My curiosity keeps me looking for answers because growth is key to improvement. Each movement, each exercise demand requires a breakdown of multiple steps within each individual person to succeed in getting you back to your sport, playing with your kids and your life.

I keep myself grounded through my yoga and Pilates practice. I love to dance Salsa and hike the beautiful mountains of Vancouver Island! I have travelled the world, worked from Coast to Coast with clients of all ages, all ethnicities with inclusivity and all levels of activity blending acute injuries to chronic persistent dysfunction using a holistic approach. I will kindly ask the hard questions and help you visualize your best self.
Let me be a part of your journey. Ensemble tout est possible!
